The project’s primary objective was the comprehensive reconstruction and unification of two historical ruins into a single, cohesive residential unit. This transformative process sought to seamlessly merge the two distinct structures into a harmonious whole.
The integration of these ruins served the purpose of creating a unified and functional living space, transcending their previous fragmented state. To achieve this, strategic architectural planning was employed to ensure a seamless connection.
The elevation of the ruins, thoughtfully considered in relation to the surrounding road and landscape, played a pivotal role in the project’s success. This strategic use of height allowed for the discreet placement of storage compartments housing the technical infrastructure of the house within an inner courtyard. This design choice was instrumental in preserving the visual aesthetics of the street-facing facade
