House in Madalena

The ongoing project consists of a single-family home located in the Sete Cidades area, in the village of Madalena do Pico.

The L-shaped design of the building provides greater privacy to the exterior part of the house, creating a harmonious connection with the adjacent patio.

This is the second Light Steel Frame project the office has been involved in, a construction technique that is becoming increasingly common on the island of Pico.

The building’s volumetry interacts with the positioning of the lot in relation to adjacent roads, creating a smooth transition of scale in relation to the surrounding environment.
